I earned my PsyD in clinical psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute in 2022. I am currently practicing as a post doctoral fellow at The Portage Bay Clinic. I am a licensed psychological associate (LMHCA) working under the supervision of Dr. Jeff Grant Ph.D., a licensed psychologist in Washington State /PY60736567).
I help individuals and families who are motivated to change patterns and behaviors but who feel frustrated, unsure where to turn and/or stuck.
Insurance:
I am an in-network provider with Premera, Regence Blue Shield, TRICARE, TriWest and Aetna insurances and all forms of insurance that offer out-of-network benefits. I would be glad to answer any questions you may have about using your insurance and The Portage Bay Clinic’s billing process.
How to begin (or return) to therapy?

I provide individual depth-oriented psychotherapy for adolescents (ages 13 and older) and adults using psychodynamic and relational approaches.
I also offer family therapy at my office in Wallingford. My clinical training and approach to family work recognizes that the family unit itself—rather than a specific person—is and will be the focus of treatment. I begin by establishing a clear framework for treatment and I will clarify the nature (and my role in) maintaining a therapeutic space. Sessions will provide you with a setting where all will be invited to explore/test out/try on new ways of communicating. I will be helping each participant to move toward more effective ways of sharing personal ideas, beliefs, needs, and concerns.
During sessions, I attend to both verbal content and nonverbal communication, including vocal tone, body language, periods of silence, and other indicators of emotional engagement or withdrawal. This multi-layered awareness helps identify underlying dynamics that may not be immediately apparent in the family’s spoken exchanges.
I recognize that addressing deeper emotionally charged issues and new ways of being together can be difficult. But I have been working with children and families in a variety of different professional and clinical capacities since 2008. I would be happy to talk with you and answer any questions you may have about me and The ways I Tend to approach working with families.
